The work deals with the course of the National Liberation Struggle in the Dobrovlje area, and at the same time, I want to find out what role the hills played for the local and regional Liberation Movement. A special feature of Dobrovlje is its location, which is surrounded by a valley on the north, east and south sides. In some years of the war, the proximity of Ljubljana and the entire Ljubljana region was also important. The work focuses mainly on larger actions of partisan units that took place in Dobrovlje or nearby, presented in chronological order. Various sources were used, namely various monographic publications, scientific articles, archival documents, personal testimonies and cartographic sources.
