The success and competitiveness of companies are strongly influenced by their employees who are an important source of knowledge when they are properly trained and educated. We will discuss the concept of competitiveness which we will connect with employees and take into account how KOCs affect the competitiveness of employees and, consequently, companies. In my bachelor’s thesis, I emphasize that employees are the main source of success and increase the competitiveness of the company. Those organizations that focus on the constant development of human capital can achieve the competitive advantage they so desperately want. In the empirical section, I found that competence centers for human resources development contribute to greater competitiveness of the company significantly and that engaging in training and education increases the human capital of the individual, which is then reflected in more qualified, capable, and satisfied employees.
