Thesis presents an overview of individual elements of equipment for hotel rooms. Process development, design and manufacture of furniture in higher price range are described. Individual furniture elements are analyzed with respect to the following quality criteria: production, construction, functionality, application security, aesthetics and environmental suitability. Projects implemented by Pohištvo Iskra Company in the period 2004-2013 are presented and analyzed. The use of more cost-effective materials and the transition from the veneers to laminated particle boards is noticed; nevertheless, the products still meet the requirements of high price range. As an example of good practice, taking into account the valid standards, the course of construction and design of high quality furniture for rooms in Hilton Wembley Hotel in London is presented. The market can successfully implement a product that is better than those offered by competitors. It was found out that the company engaged in the manufacture of high quality furniture for hotel rooms should follow specific demands and needs of individual clients.
