Over the years, many international treaties, declarations, directives and regulations governing fundamental human rights have emerged and entered into force. All of these agreements have affected the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia, its laws and implementing regulations which are binding for all citizens. Fundamental human rights include workers' rights which are, however, often violated, even in in these times. With the efforts of the state and the EU, workers are getting better representation in order to reduce the various negative effects occurring due to such violations. A serious problem of this century is the high number of employees suffering from stress and depression at the workplace. By analysing the survey questionnaire, I will try to determine whether and how violations of workers’ rights contribute to stress and depression among employees.
