This master paper will be based on the research of cohesion in journalistic articles and researching elements that achieve the cohesion of the text. The cohesion is only one of the criteria of textuality, in which this criteria creates comprehensibility and clarity of the texts. Nowadays, in the “rush era”, journalists are under big pressure to write articles as quickly as possible, that’s why they often use “shorter paths” of writing – translating, copy-paste method of writing, where can articles easily become inconsistent. In master paper we define what textual cohesion is and how is achieved, further more we analyzed what is happening with the cohesion in journalistic text in two different publications. We analyzed journalistic texts in daily newspaper Dnevnik and life-style magazine L&Z. Through text-analysis articles, where we recognized element of cohesion and which were divided on genre, in two printed publications, I find that despite the rush, journalists are under, they write coherent articles. To achieve cohesion of the text they use elements for achieving cohesion, but in quite percent.
