Slovenia counts 212 municipalities. Often this presented dispute between the defenders of the fragmentation of Slovenian municipalities and those for a smaller number of larger municipalities, landscapes. The reasons for the unification of Slovenian municipalities are according to Vlaj (2011) numerous, but above all, many of our 211 (212 in 2019) Municipalities are not capable of fulfilling the tasks defined by the constitution and legislation, nor the voluntary tasks defined by their own self-governing law. Are media outbursts in order for Slovenia to have fewer municipalities in different time waves no longer needed and will municipalities begin to connect in a different way in the future for a more efficient appearance on a tourist map? I try to find this out in my master's thesis. Four different municipalities in the Dravinja valley: Slovenske Konjice (13,600 inhabitants), Zreče (6,400), Oplotnica (3,600) and Vitanje (2,300) almost three years ago stepped on a common journey on a tourist map. Each has its own advantage, its significance, a characteristic that stands out from the average, but it needs organized help to achieve more. With the help of theoretical starting points and qualitative research on the selected example of Rogla-Pohorje Destination, which changed its organization management in November 2016, I will investigate how the organization management influences the offer and market communication of the tourist destination. I investigated this on the basis of the time line: before and after the change in organization management; and upon the type of organization management of the tourist destination.
