The key part of our everyday lives is the languages through which we communicate, express emotions, describe things, etc. Even though we are aware of the importance of the word language or sign language, changes within the language itself, which are shaped over time or due to technological development, changes or practicality in the use of the language itself, are also essential.
The main theme of this thesis is The Object in the Genitive Case in Contemporary German and consequently deals with the use of it. An important component of the thesis are the grammars used, which formed the basis of the thesis itself. When examining these, it was quickly noticed that the object in the genitive case was represented in the grammars, however, there were variations mainly from the contents point of view. However, this indicates the complexity of the cases themselves and their use. The main part of the thesis is the comparison of the grammars and how the Object in the Genitive Case is presented in them. Similarities and differences appearing in individual grammars are also presented.
