MIG/MAG wire are additive manufacturing is one of many additive technologies which
is universal and affordable regarding investment costs and offers a huge potencial in producing bigger and hybrid made parts. This thesis covers defining of process parameters for making thin and streight wall cladded on a mild steel plate with aluminium bronze CuAl8 welding wire.
In the first part of thesis we presented the basics of brazing and welding and also the different welding processes and equipment for MIG/MAG welding. We have researched the affects of different technological parameters on cladding process we made analysis of the wall shape, efficiency of cladding and process costs. We found out that for cladding aluminium bronze the welding proces CMT+P works best, but for making thin, streight wall besides the right welding parameters also the sample interpass temperature, cleanliness, fine adjustments on starts and stops of the welds and the correct welding path and speed are crucial. With the analysis made we determined the consumables costs, efficiency of cladding and wall shape.
