The goal of this thesis is designing a servo-hydraulic system to power a Gough-Stewart platform on which a flight simulator will be based. The main purpose is to provide a functioning hydraulic system, which will be able to transfer the dynamics of flight to its user in real time.
In the course of writing this thesis we have specified the geometry of the platform and the arrangement of hydraulic cylinders, for whom we used finate element method to determine acting foces upon them. After solving the problem of kinematics we calculated necessary parameters of individual components fort his hydraulic system. At the end we made a list of chosen components which were picked from catalogues and prepared a preliminary assessment of costs, to get a better feeling in which price range is the production of this project.
