Primerjava medpovednega in v korpusu tolmačenih in prevedenih besedil Evropskega parlamenta EPTIC-SI

Magistrsko delo obravnava pojavitve medpovednega in v multimodalnem korpusu EPTIC-SI, ki je nastal v okviru projektne skupine in omogoča primerjavo tako tolmaških kot prevodnih rešitev na naboru istih avtentičnih besedil. Namen dela je s pomočjo korpusne analize raziskati, kako pogosto se medpovedni in pojavlja v primerjavi z medstavčnim in znotrajstavčnim in, iz katerih elementov je bil najpogosteje preveden oziroma pretolmačen ter kakšne so njegove funkcije v ciljih besedilih. Teoretični del vsebuje kratek uvod v korpusno jezikoslovje, predstavitev korpusa EPTIC, katerega del je tudi korpus EPTIC-SI, ter opredelitev slovenskega in in angleškega and. V analitičnem delu je predstavljena empirična analiza, ki je razdeljena na kvantitativno analizo vseh pojavitev veznika in in podrobnejšo analizo primerov medpovednega in. Gre za eno izmed prvih raziskav, v kateri so vzporedno analizirane tako tolmaške kot prevodne rešitve, v slovenskem prostoru.

• Naslov: A comparison of intersentential in [and] in the EPTIC-SI corpus of translated and interpreted texts from the European Parliament

Izvleček

The master's thesis deals with the use of intersentential in [and] in the EPTIC-SI multimodal corpus, which was compiled by a project team. The EPTIC-SI allows the comparison of both interpretation and translation solutions that are based on the same authentic source texts. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the frequency of intersentential in [and] compared to interclausal and intrasentential in [and], to identify the original elements that were translated or interpreted as intersentential in [and], and the functions of intersentential in [and] in the target texts. The theoretical part consists of a brief introduction to corpus linguistics, a presentation of the EPTIC corpus, of which EPTIC-SI is also a part, and the definition of the Slovenian conjuction in and the corresponding English conjunction and. The analytical part presents the results of empirical corpus analysis that is divided into a quantitative analysis of all occurrences of the conjunction in [and] and a more detailed analysis of cases of intersentential in [and]. This type of research that enables a parallel analysis of both interpretation and translation solutions is among the first studies of this kind in Slovenia.
