In the following work is presented the installation and optimization of video surveillance system, used for error detection in the mass production of cardboard.
In the big companies, such as Količevo Karton d.o.o., undisturbed and efficient production of a certain product is crucial but in the same time difficult to ensure, because of the mass production. In the production process of cardboard certain types of errors may occur, caused by mechanical defects, dirt, carelessness or other difficulties. Some of them could even lead to cracks in the cardboard. Moisture and high temperature as well affect the working conditions. For better inspection of the production of cardboard and real-time error detection, use of suitable video surveillance system is necessary.
The purpose of this diploma work is to ensure optimal installation and function of the real-time video surveillance system, in the mass production of cardboard. The first focus of the work is to ensure suitable lighting of the cardboard in the measurement area, choosing, installing and correct setting of cameras for optimal image detection, including how to choose the suitable objective and then its connection with the computer system. In the same time we provide protection of the equipment from possible damages which could happen in the production process. In the conclusion of this diploma work, with practical examples are shown the error detection process with optimised video surveillance system, their analysis and final results.
