The purpose of this thesis is to improve the logo of Public Institute Ratitovec Železniki and to adjust it according to trends in graphic design.
In the theoretical part, we presented the importance of integrated graphic image and definitions of individual graphic elements, which are related to a design of the updated logo itself. The elements we are focusing on are precisely described. It defines the logo and its characteristics, the importance of colors that affect the logo itself and the characteristics to be taken care of, as well as the appropriate choice of typography. There is an explanation why the refreshment or redesign of the overall graphic image occurs. For a comparson of how graphic designers change over the years, we have describeds the development of the company logo Sava d.d.
In the experimental part,are briefly described by the public company Ratitovec and the activities it deals with. An analysis of the original logo of its advantages and disadvantages is given. the whole process of designing a new logo is shown. Each step is described in detail from the idea to the product. It was created using graphic programs. For the inscription Ratitovec, a new typography was planned and made, which was placed in a refurbished symbol. The updated logo is presented on various business prints and promotional materials.
The performance of renewed logo was measured using an online survey. In order to facilitate analysis, the respondents had the original and the updated logo that was placed on different press materials.
The survey showed that visual image influences the visibility of the company and that the updated version of the logo is more appropriate than the original one. The logo we have designed has also been used by this company.
