In this thesis, we analyze the compatibility of new standard for wireless networks, the 802.11 ax, with older versions of this standard.
The first chapters are devoted to a historical review of the development of the standard 802.11, all the way up to the latest version 802.11 ax. Then follows a short chapter on the network simulation 3, which will assist us in the implementation of all the necessary simulations for later analysis of the obtained results.
The main focus of the implementation of simulations is to prove, that version ax is compatible with older versions of 802.11 standard. From the simulations we learn, that the version ax is compatible with other version, but when this occurs, we get reduction of performance, since older versions are not compatible with all the innovations introduced by ax.
