Magistrska naloga rešuje problem strahu pred neznanjem nudenja prve pomoči očividcev, ki so prvi na kraju prometne nesreče pred prihodom reševalne ekipe. Glavna razloga, zakaj ljudje ne pomagajo, sta torej strah in neznanje.

Naslov:Saving lives using a professional guidance application on your smartphone in the first minutes after a car accident
Izvleček:
The master's thesis focuses on the problem of fear of not having enough knowledge to be able to provide first aid when witnessing a car accident. Car accident witnesses are the first at the site of a car accident before the arrival of the paramedics. The main reasons why people fail to help are fear of providing first aid and their ignorance of how to do it properly. With the help of doctors, rescuers, dispatchers and other health professionals, I got familiar with the whole work process, which contributed to finding the right solution to the problem. The result is the mobile application LiSa (Saving Lives with Professional Assistant), which provides a video call with a dispatcher, who can see the whole situation on his or her screen. In this way, he/she is able to provide an expert opinion while leading the user through the correct process of providing first aid on the spot. In addition to the video call, LiSa provides visual material, which the dispatcher can send to the user’s smartphone. Thus, the car accident witness can provide first aid in a faster and more successful way. The application helps the user to count and provides an ideal rhythm to use for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It shows the user the location of the nearest defibrillator without the need to call 112 (emergency phone number). If necessary, it uses a GPS to also guide the user to the nearest defibrillator. With a complete upgraded system in the rescue process and the LiSa application, the problem of stress and fear of ignorance of providing first aid is solved. This mitigates the consequences of car accidents and contributes to saving more lives.
