The purpose of the diploma thesis was to design and present unique unisex collection inspired by Slovenian embroidery. In next part of the thesis i present various handcrafting techniques, development of embroidery in Slovenia and around the world. I am also presenting my twist on embroidery and how i am including it in my collection.
The theoretical part of this thesis discusses the history of handcrafting techniques its heritage, tradition and development in Slovenia and across the globe. I also present modern interpretations of embroidery in fashion. I continue with development and research for my collection and upgrading it with series of fotographies with embroidery.
The practical part of this thesis encompasses the development and design of my fashion collection with fashion photography that is later upgraded with hand embroidery. I am also including research, fashion and technical sketches and inspiration behind my collection. I am presenting my work in series of fashion photographies and photos with added embroidery.
