This thesis looks into the current situation of actualization of musical projects in the first and second educational triads of primary school and tries to outline some options for improving the quality of cultural and artistic education.
The theoretical part introduces some notions, guidelines and theoretical basis in connection with cultural and artistic education, musical education, research projects and cultural-artistic projects.
The empirical part includes a research conducted among the teachers of music in the first (1st, 2nd and 3rd grade) and second (4th, 5th and 6th grade) educational triads. We wanted to determine how often the teachers carry out music projects with their pupils and which are the components that influence the frequency of realisation of such projects (level of education, type and course of education, additional musical education), the advantages and disadvantages that the teachers see in this type of teaching. Furthermore the thesis looks into the quality and the level of cooperation between the cultural and educational establishments and in the end we try to indicate what would, in teachers' opinions, improve the quality of the cultural and artistic education. We have also checked in how many of the institutions included in the research there is a person that coordinates the cultural and artistic education.
The results of the research have shown that most of the teachers we asked have been involved in musical projects and that some of them have included other cultural institutions and artists in their work. Unfortunately, cooperation and partnerships in such education are still too limited and not frequent enough.
The options of improving the quality of cultural and artistic education are seen mainly in including other artists, raising the number of the lessons of music in schools and in additional education of the teachers. Unfortunately the cooperation with the related institutions and including the coordinators of the cultural and artistic education still aren't seen as very important. However, the research shows that all the aspects are extremely important for the quality of the music projects and should therefore be given more attention.
