In this diploma thesis we define the enitre process of creating a website for accounting service
Oreka računovodstvo d.o.o. Firstly we provide an overview of different design fields, then
took a closer look at user experience and how it influences the performance of websites and
later examine literature on the subject of information architecture and wire models, which
play a leading part in creating user friendly and responsive website.
The experimental part consists of a website development course analysis, which included
initial planning, definition of main goals and client's immediate wishes. Since the final
product was a website for the accounting service, we compared three already existing
websites from different accounting services in Slovenia before the initial planning. Prior to
the website creation, we established a concept of our website using information architecture
and wired models, based on which the final website design was created in Adobe Photoshop
and Adobe Illustrator. The website was created using the WordPress tool with the already
existing paid theme Native. CSS was also used to change the properties of different elements.
In the end, we provided users with a questionnaire regarding the user experience and used it
as a mean of obtaining suggestions for further improvements, which weren’t realised because
of our client's wishes.
The company Oreka računovodstvo d.o.o. has been on the market for quite some time and is
well known in its geographical area. Website was created in order to attract new customers
and make sure we offer them a simple first step towards establishing contact with the
accounting service.
