In the thesis, an upgrade of a rotor assembly and glueing station that uses an industrial robot is presented. Industrial robots and robot manufacturer Stäubli are introduced. The current rotor line, assembly, and glueing stations are described. A feasibility study of upgrading the existing station is made, focusing on several improvements and associated cycle times. Introduction of an additional robot into the station is studied through simulation. The results show an improvement in total cycle time and present the calculation of the return of investment.
