In the following thesis I deal with the unemployment problem of Gorenjska region during the years 2006 and 2015. Not only the level of the unemployed that were registered, increased a lot, but also their professional structure changed.
Labour market did not offer enough jobs for everybody and the employers became rather strict about their working conditions. Therefore the government proposed several activities that encouraged and helped the long term unemployed people.
In the thesis work I studied and analyzed the unemployment problem in Gorenjska region during the years 2006 and 2015 and consequently presented the main problems (i.e. the unemployment level, age and education) of the Unemployment Bureaus. The methods I used are the following: descriptive, static method for analyzing the phenomenon, compilation – collecting the facts, comparative – comparing the facts.
According the statistical data basis I discovered that the economic crisis reached all the Unemployment’s Bureaus in Gorenjska. Then I realised that the share of the elderly unemployed grew due to the changes of retirement legislation. The employmency rate of highly educated unemployed decreased at the same time.
The two Bureaus with the most disagreeable unemployment results were in Tržič and Jesenice. They had the biggest share of the unemployed with the low level education, age over 50, women and long term unemployed. Although the inflow in Radovljica increased they did not record the critical level of unemployment. The lowest level of the unemployment was noticed in Škofja Loka Bureau.
