This thesis deals with the development of hardware and software and with selection of the appropriate measurement equipment for the end-of-line test (EOL) for multifunctional voltage regulator for regulation of vehicle alternators. Acquired measurements allows the error detection and elimination of unsuccessfully produced multifunctional voltage regulators.
First operational concepts of the alternator is described, its primary parts and importance of voltage regulation. Basic features and types of existing multifunctional voltage regulator are also briefly introduced. The main part of this thesis highlights the development and design of the measuring system for testing the regulators. In addition, we present the wiring diagram, bed-of-nails fixture, construction of electrical cabinet and describe method of equipment selection. We conclude the text with validation and comparison of realized measuring system measurements with a previously simulated results from the multifunction voltage regulator developers.
