The main focus of my thesis is the field of road safety, as it seems to play an important role in our lives. The Police service is a significant body within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, which must carry out their tasks qualitatively, efficiently and professionally. I explored the satisfaction of the citizens of Ljubljana regarding police work in the field of road safety, using one of the simplest forms of research – an online survey, which I made using the 1-ka web programme. There were 77 respondents who completed the questionnaire survey. With the help of the results which I have compared with previous research, I found out how satisfied or dissatisfied are the citizens of Ljubljana with the police work and services, regarding road safety. From the results obtained I can confirm that the citizens are generally satisfied with police work, and that they are well aware of the preventive measures and actions carried out by the police. The police are willing to help people and care for their safety in a polite, professional manner. However, the cause will require an even bigger amount of seminars, campaigns and training courses on the subject, since the proportion of road users rapidly increases on a daily basis, which coincides with the increase of greater risk in road traffic.
