The purpose of this thesis was to research user experience testing methods and apply them to any further user experience testing regarding products MESI mTABLET and mRECORDS of MESI Ltd.
Firstly, the theoretical part defines terms such as user experience and usability. Secondly, it presents guidelines for planning and conducting UX tests and different UX testing methods. To get a better understanding of how UX tests are conducted in real life, it also includes some examples of studies in which UX testing was performed. Further on, the UX testing methods of MESI products are presented in detail. Different lab tests with defined scenarios, test environments and test users were conducted. The first test was short term and was focused on user interface. The second test was long-term and performed in real life medical practices with end users and was focused as much on user interface as on usability and overall user experience.
In results, analysis of each test is presented. The analysis was based on observations, interviews and filled out measurement questionnaires. Results chapter also includes ideas for improving current user interfaces and products. Finally, an evaluation of conducted UX testing is made and suggestions for improving next UX testing are presented.
