By the development of football games also a football technique has been developed, which is one of the important factors for the overall preparation of a football player. The trapping technique has a very important place in this preparation. In the game, a football player with a successful trapping the ball achieves important common team goals, such as keeping possession of the ball and quick transfer between players. The precise and reliable implementation of technical elements is becoming increasingly important in modern football. The purpose of this diploma thesis was to accurately describe and analyse the quality and incorrect performance of trapping the ball. A breakdown of trapping the ball into three major groups is shown in the body of the thesis, and each qualitative and incorrect stop is described in detail and presented with the images. For easier understanding of the images, each stop is divided into phases, which allow the reader to even more precisely interpret the individual performance.
Images were created using the bs player, "print screen" function and MS Paint software.
The thesis is intended for students of Faculty of Sport, football trainers, teachers, and everyone else interested in this topic. It is helpful as a teaching material to all those who want to perform well in sports.
