Abstract

Title:Clean ground reaction force developement
Abstract:
Clean is an olympic weightlifting lift which is increasingly used in power and speed training of athletes. Main porpuse of the bachelor thesis was to collect scientific literature in the field of olympic weightlifting for variations of clean to present which version develops maximum rate of force development and what would be the most optimal load for training. Monographic method was used. Our sources were mainly scientific articles from PubMed and SPORTDiscus. We wanted to present the obtained results from articles and compeleted them with photographs. According to previous research scientists have come up with the results that mid-thigh clean and mid-thigh clean pull are the variations of clean that develop the largest amounts of rate of force development. Increment of rate of force development is greater than in all other variations of clean as well as in standard exercises such as back squat and deadlift etc. Further research has suggested that athletes need to train at 60-80% load of the 1RM power clean, however optimal load within this interval for each athlete should be determined individually.
