The purpose of the degree paper is to present Pilates with a ball workout for pregnant women in the last trimester. The exercises are suitable and appropriately chosen, considering the recommendation on sports activities in the last trimester of pregnancy. For the sports accessory, we chose a mini Pilates ball, that helps the ones who train to achieve better physical condition. The mini ball is an interesting accessory, which is also very accessible and practical. We chose Pilates mostly because it promotes better posture and emphasizes strengthening of the body stabilizers and toning of the pelvic muscles, which are very significant during pregnancy.
We used Slovenian and foreign literature for the theoretical part. We described features and peculiarities of the last trimester of pregnancy, exercise recommendations and contraindications for exercising in the last trimester.
In the second part of the paper, we designed and presented a system of Pilates exercises with a ball, that are suitable for pregnant women in the last trimester. Each exercise was attentively selected and shown in a picture. The starting position and the course of motion for proper exercise performance are described under the picture.
