Archery is a sport where being mentally strong is much more important than physically
strong. Of course for an amazing performance both of them are really important, but at
the end of the competition the archer that is mentally stronger and is in average physical
condition will for sure be better than an archer that is physically in amazing shape but has
never heard of the mental game. Almost every archer in his career has experienced target
panic as well. Target panic usually appears because an archer has a really strong wish to
hit the middle of the target but he is not mentally ready to do so. Target panic is not only
a disease of the competition but can also appear during practice. It is not only a problem
of the beginners but it can also happen to the best archers out there. The only solution for
target panic is a strong mental game, that helps archer towards ability to be aware of his
body and make the same shot every time he steps on the line. Without an exception! This
kind of discipline allows an archer to have a safe feeling during competition and the
ability to shoot the same, close to the same or better scores at a tournament. Mental game
also help an archer learn and improve quicker.
