Abstract
Diplomsko delo preučuje vlogo vzgojitelja pri otrokovi prosti igri. Zanimalo me je, v kolikšni meri se vzgojitelji vključujejo v otrokovo prosto igro kot mentalno razvitejše osebe ter jo s tem dvigajo na višji nivo. Opazovala sem vedenje petih vzgojiteljev in petih pomočnikov vzgojiteljev med otrokovo prosto igro ter zapisovala primere njihove vključitve v igro. Da bi bolje razumela njihovo stališče o vlogi vzgojitelja pri otrokovi prosti igri, sem z njimi izvedla tudi kratko anketo. Glavni namen raziskovanja je bilo izvedeti, na kakšen način vzgojitelji po navadi načrtujejo prosto igro, kako pogosto se vanjo vključijo, kaj menijo o svojem vključevanju v igro oziroma ali se zavedajo svoje vloge mentalno razvitejšega partnerja pri igri in delovanja območja bližnjega razvoja, o katerem razlaga Vigotski (Batistič Zorec, 2003: 79 in Zupančič, 2006: 126). Ugotovitve so pokazale, da se vzgojitelji opisane vloge pretežno ne zavedajo, saj večinoma menijo, da je bolje, če otroke pri igri prepustimo samim sebi. V igro se največkrat vključujejo le, če so povabljeni, igro pa načrtujejo tako, da se otroci lahko igrajo sami. Ko se igri priključijo, večinoma delujejo kot mentalno razvitejši partnerji, saj z vprašanji otroke vzpodbujajo k razmišljanju ter iskanju novih rešitev.

Title:The role of preschool teacher in child's free play
Abstract:
Thesis talks about the role of educator in the child's free game. I was wondering to what extent educators, as a more knowledgeable partner engaging in child's play, and thus rise to the next level. I've been watching the behavior of the educators and assistant educators employed during the child's free play and their possible inclusion in the game. In order to better understand their views on the role of educator in the child's free game, I also conduct a short survey. The main purpose of the survey was to find out how educators typically plan a free game, how often are they included, how they feel about integration, and be aware of its role as the mentally more developed partner in the game thanks zone of proximal development, mentioned by Vygotsky’s theory. Findings have shown that educators are not aware of their role in its entirety, because it believes that it is a lot better off if kids in the game we let ourselves. In the game are included only if they were invited.
