Ogrodje za ovrednotenje ustreznosti aktivnosti in orodij pri testiranju mobilnih aplikacij

Mobilne aplikacije so že skoraj desetletje del našega vsakdana. Zaradi vedno večje nasičenosti trga mobilnih aplikacij postaja njihova kakovost ena od glavnih konkurenčnih prednosti. Na kakovost mobilnih aplikacij močno vpliva testiranje, zato je pravilna izbira ustreznih aktivnosti in orodij za testiranje zelo pomembna. V sklopu magistrskega dela je predstavljeno ogrodje za vrednotenje aktivnosti in orodij pri testiranju mobilnih aplikacij, ki vključuje sociološki, tehnični in ekonomski vidik. S tem so bili v proces vrednotenja vključeni vsi ključni deležniki pri procesu testiranja in tako je bila zagotovljena celovitost ogrodja. Ogrodje je zasnovano na podlagi obstoječe relevantne literature. Njegova uspešnost je bila preverjena s pomočjo študije primera v treh izbranih podjetjih, ki se ukvarjajo z razvojem mobilnih aplikacij. Po izvedenih študijah primera je vodstvo podjetij potrdilo, da so z uporabo ogrodja pridobili nove koristne informacije.

• Title: A framework for evaluation of adequate activities and tools for mobile application testing

Abstract

Mobile applications have been a part of our everyday life for almost a decade. Due to the increasing market saturation of mobile applications, their quality is becoming one of the main competitive advantages. Testing has a major impact on the quality of mobile applications, therefore it is very important to pick adequate activities and tools for mobile application testing. This master thesis presents an evaluation framework for activities and tools used in the testing of mobile applications, which includes social, technical and economic aspects. Considering all three aspects, the evaluation framework involved all key stakeholders in the testing process, which ensured its integrity. The framework was conceived on the basis of existing relevant literature. Its success was verified in three case studies, conducted in companies developing mobile applications. Their managers confirmed that using the framework provided them with new and useful information.
