The diploma thesis describes the way of how the siphon works and includes
measurement procedures for thoroughly determination of speed flowing out liquid with
application of siphon.
Theoretical background of how the siphon works is based on divergence of atmospheric pressure and pull of gravity. By discussion of a real liquid, there is description
of two flows (laminar and turbulent flow) and Reynolds number, which is criterion
for definition of these two flows.
The diploma thesis is based on description of measurement procedures, which are
presented in the last part. The purpose of diferent techniques is to define the
measurement technique with smallest measurement defection, which will serve for
validation and disprovement of hypothesis.
