In the educational process puppet is mostly used after reading of dramatic text for further text creation. The puppet can through the play reach the goals in all three areas of child's development: cognitive, social-emotional and grossmotor.
In the theoretical part of the thesis, Puppet as a teaching method in the classroom is presented in comparative form of work in the classroom with the puppet and without the puppet. Further on the importance of inner and outer motivation is presented and communication with the puppet as well as verbal and non-verbal communication. Teaching strategy of puppet use belongs to the modern teaching approaches and other modern approaches are introduced such as constructivist approach, experiential learning and cooperative learning. It is described how the puppet has a positive impact on various areas of child's development. In the classroom puppet can be used to carry out the lesson showing various teaching tools with the puppet.
The aim of the practical part was to show how the puppet as a teachinf tool in the classroom is used as one of the possible ways to achieveteaching goals in different subject areas. It is essential that students through puppet play creatively solve a certain problem connected to curriculum. We observed what the students' responses to the use of puppets in the classroom was and what was their motivation like. We were interested in whether the students at the group work creation of puppets and the preparation of improvised dialogues on specific topic or theme strengthens students' cooperation and communication.
Lesson plans for individual school subjects' objectives are presented, accurate conduct and evaluation. Additional graphic material was encountered during the implementation of lessons in first and second grade.
