Abstract

Title:Realisation of school sports days with mountaineering content in primary school from the point of concentric circles
Abstract:
In the presented thesis an in depth analysis on use of the concentric circle theory teaching method in hiking/mountaineering sports activity in Slovenian primary schools is reported. We have compared recollections of students regarding the use of the concentric circle teaching method. The data of the study was extracted from 48 essays done by the undergraduate student of Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, during a workshop on Mountaineering. The statements were collected from essays and are based on the students own objective description of the events while attending the Primary school, with addition of their personal view on the issue. All data was evaluated, cross references on World Wide Web and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft corporation, WA, USA was used for statistical analysis. In the work it has been noted that only a low percentage of the sampled Slovenian primary schools follows the concentric circles teaching methods, which manifests in lack of memories of these events in in the sampled population. A higher degree of reported activates has been observed by the students that attended the activities incorporating concentric circle teaching methods. This observation was observed by statistical analysis. The students attending the activities based on concentric circle teaching methods do remember the activates fully or at least partially. The students attending a not well organised activity, or have had negative experiences during the activity, do not recall the events.
