This graduation thesis provides an analysis of the land policy of the municipality of Litija. It introduces analyses which we believe should represent an expert base for land policy implementation and which as such would have a significant impact on finding better solutions in the field of spatial planning. The current spatial arrangement and the current applicable spatial plan of the municipality of Litija are presented. Furthermore an analysis of the number and the type of the issued building permits for the
period 2007 - 2014 follows. For the same period of time real estate market was researched - residential houses, apartments and vacant building land. Based on the analyses results and taking into account the trend of issued building permits, an assessment of the availability of vacant building land in the future has been made. In the end the existing public utility infrastructure in the municipality of Litija is presented as well as the calculation of building land development fee within various settlements. It has been determined that the quantity of vacant building land, either fully or semi-serviced, for housing construction, is available for the next 20 years.
