My diploma thesis deals with students' information behaviour in the last four grades of primary school. We wanted to find out, how students start with searching of certain information for their school work, how they use all the information and what kind of influence do the teachers and librarians have on their information behaviour. For original data recruitment we used observation methods of students' behaviour while working with computers and in library, analysis of paper contents and partially structured interviews with students, teachers and librarian. We found out, that students often search for information needed for their school work on world web with key words in internet browser Google. Main reasons for searching of information on world web are speed and simplicity of recruitment, accessibility from home and quantity of information. They use internet sources more often than book sources. In their papers they do not quote all the data and information sources. Data and information are noted in their own words, they quote used text, also copy and less common they copy and paste certain text. On information searching, recruiting and usage affect teachers' instructions, their demands about the task, valuation criteria and work definition itself. Teachers and librarians play an important role on students' study path. They need to cooperate, complement one another and aim to the same goal - to study their students to work independent and also the basis of research work with source usage.
