Automatic adjustment function for the environment light conditions at the time of scene capture is essential in modern digital cameras. Most commercial products incorporate slow adjustment to the light conditions and in case of quick lightning changes the adjustment is often inaccurate.
In this paper, an algorithm for adjusting the CMOS sensor parametres based on COG of a histogram, enabling high dynamic range imaging is prposed. Algorithm employs two additional criteria functions that are histogram based and are used for more stable function and better results which is shown in results. Algorithm is designed in a way that it optimizes CMOS sensor parameters based on histogram distribution and therefore aims to produce HDR image.
