Diploma thesis deals with different methods for the determination of the serial resistance of photovoltaic modules and fields. In the first part the theory of solar cells is presented followed by a description of their operation, their output parameters and main implementations. Furthermore, a detailed presentation of two different methods of determining the serial resistance, the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC 60891 and a method, developed in the Laboratory for photovoltaics and optoelectronics is given. Finally, both methods are tested on the IV-curves of typical representatives of photovoltaic modules of different technologies at different irradiation levels and temperatures
