This thesis describes the development of hardware and software for a control unit for the production of biodiesel. The controller is developed to automatically dose almost all ingredients needed for safe production of biodiesel. All statuses are shown on LCD screen and all output relays have LED diode so functioning can easily be monitored.
The controller controls specific electric pumps, electric motors, electric valves, and heaters. The controller gets data from different sensors, such as ultrasound sensor mesuring level of biodiesel in reactor, thermistors NTC used for temperature measurements and Reed switch providing status of the level in auxiliary barrel and for the safety of the system.
