In this thesis I described the methods and techniques for quality control of welds in mass production to fulfill the requirements of the automotive industry. I introduced high production line in which we replaced a system for automated quality control of welds.
My work was completely program related, program for the processing and displaying status of quality of the welds. I described the process of setting the parameters of the program for optimal detection of irregularities. During optimization we encountered problems with detecting the weld edge. Problems have been fixed by correcting the program, setting different scanning speed and optimization of module for communication.
The system was checked and approved with the Measuring System Analysis - MSA.
