Abstract

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Preservation of cultural heritage begins with Conservation plan. It is a document in which ther guidelines and recommendations are clearly written how and why to preserve the monument. It also evaluates its significance, vulnerability and threat. For all this it requires a uniform procedure of making Conservation plans. Since 2009 it is regulated by Regulation of Conservation plan. PURPOSE: The purpose of my research is to compare content of selected samples of Conservation plans, made in Slovenia with Regulations of Conservation plans. In particularly I wanted to find out, how the selected conservation plans comply with the contents of Regulations. METHODS: In my research I included 60 Conservation plans from Slovenia made between 2004 and 2015. Most of them were created in the Institute fot the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia. I checked if Conservation plans are containing the prescribed contents of the Regulations. RESULTS: I found out, that Conservation plans after 2009, when Regulations on Conservation plan was published, satisfy the contents required by protocol. In particular, Conservation plans with proper contents were made at the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia, Restoration centre. CONCLUSION: In general I can conclude, that the realization of Conservation plans before the implementation has become a constant. Without confirmation of content protocol which is written in Conservation plan the implementation can not start. But this has a good impact on protection of immovable cultural heritage, because valorization and standardization of record helps to preserve it.
