Despite increasingly faster way of life the family still remains the core of individual’s life. Education is one of the pieces of the puzzle of individual’s life. That is why we wished to discover if the education is changing through different generations. Most people continue an educational process in kindergarten where socialization occurs also outside of the family. Kindergartens influence one’s character significantly. Therefore, it is important that a child feels well in the kindergarten. We shall present the relationships of an individual inside the family and kindergarten from the perspective of several generations. At the same time we shall check what kind of changes in relationships families partook through generations. In the theoretical part we shall recognize the definitions of the family, what was the family like once and what is it like today, and what is the connection between family and kindergarten. In the empirical part we interpreted the answers, gained by interviews with mothers and women of different generations respectively; we shall then confirm or reject the set hypotheses.
