Paper discusses results of international empirical research guided in electro-electronic industry in 1985 and in 1994. It is focused only on those results, which refer on employee's evaluation of work and on their preferencesconcerning the future of their countries. Results demonstrate decreasing centrality of work, weaker preferences of employee's for equal and co-operative society and stronger preferences of employee's for society in which dominate post-materialist well being.
