This thesis presents an energy renovation analysis of Elementary School Prade. In the context of energy renovations were discussed measures to improve the energy efficiency of schools, and combinations of these measures. The aim of the thesis was to justify the appropriateness of the renovation from the perspective of energy efficiency. With a combination of measures for energy efficient renovation was verified the possibility of observing the provisions regarding the construction of nearly zero energy public buildings. The results showed that the school have a great potential for the realization of savings in heating and cooling energy, which means that the execution of the energy efficiency renovation is justified. The provisions regarding the construction of nearly zero energy public buildings have proved to be very challenging and difficult to obtain for an example of Elementary School Prade. There was also a need to change the method of determining the maximum allowable heat heating in the current laws.
