Abstract

Title:High dynamic electrical drive of a siren
Abstract:
Abstract The aim of the thesis is to realize precise control of permanent magnet synchronous motor. On a motor's shaft a siren is mounted, which during rotation emits sound of exactly defined frequencies. Frequency converter with motion controller is used for motor control and rotor position is measured by incremental encoder. In the first part of the thesis procedures how to properly set frequency converter and motion controller are introduced. Then follows a description of a program which is responsible for the proper communication between the motor and motion controller. For better understanding of permanent magnet synchronous motor’s operation, his role in modern electric drives and advantages and disadvantages are presented. Frequency converter and incremental encoder principle of operation is also explained. Then follows a description of hardware components of the drive. Focus is mainly on frequency converter Danfoss FC 302 and motion controller MCO 305, which is characterized by high accuracy and dynamic capability. For every component some key technical data are given. Practical work with frequency converter, in which it is necessary to properly set number of parameters to establish correct operation of the drive, is presented. Software environment Aposs, which is responsible for the proper drive control is also described. The last chapter introduces instructions how to use presented drive to generate the desired melody. Each user without a special knowledge can enter new program code for any optional song.
