Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo z uporabo orodja za merjenje zmogljivosti Performance Monitor analizirali oblačno storitev FlipIT z vidika časa dostopa. Osredotočili smo se na dva tipa fizičnih povezav, ki jih uporabljajo stranke FlipIT pri dostopu do te oblačne storitve, in sicer na bakreno ter optično povezavo. Razložili smo postopek meritev in analizirali dobljene rezultate, ki pokažejo boljše delovanje storitve FlipIT na optičnih omrežjih. Kot pričakovano pa uporabniki, ki dostopajo do oblaka FlipIT preko bakrenega omrežja, niso za nič prikrajšani, saj so prav tako deležni bogate uporabniške izkušnje.

Title:Access time analysis of FlipIT service
Abstract:
In this thesis we analyzed the FlipIT cloud service in terms of access time using the performance measuring tool called Performance Monitor. We focused on two types of physical links used by FlipIT customers when accessing these cloud services, namely copper and optical connection. We explain the procedure of measurements and analyze the results obtained, which show better performance of FlipIT service on optical fiber networks. As expected, users who access the FlipIT cloud over the copper network aren’t in any disadvantage, since they are also enjoying the rich user experience.
