In this thesis we analyzed the FlipIT cloud service in terms of access time using the
performance measuring tool called Performance Monitor. We focused on two types of physical links used by FlipIT customers when accessing these cloud services, namely copper and optical connection. We explain the procedure of measurements and analyze the results obtained, which show better performance of FlipIT service on optical fiber networks. As expected, users who access the FlipIT cloud over the copper network aren’t in any disadvantage, since they are also enjoying the rich user experience.
