Abstract
Magistrska naloga obravnava pojem ponotranjenja besedila v igralskem procesu.

Title:Internalizing the Text: The Process in Theatre and Film
Abstract:
This master's thesis explores the concept of text internalization in the acting process. It examines how an actor should approach a dramatic text in order to achieve an authentic, organic, and convincing performance. The thesis analyzes acting methods of renowned acting teachers such as Ivana Chubbuck and Eric Morris, while evaluating them through personal acting experience. One of the central premises of the thesis is a comparison of the acting process in theatre and film, examining the characteristics of both media and the ways in which actors have to adapt their work to the demands of the specific media. Particular attention is devoted to the analysis of personal mechanisms that hinder authentic expression on stage and in front of the camera, with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of the acting process. The recording of the radio play Locke served as a practical field for exploring the process of text internalization, investigating the specific characteristics of radio drama, and adapting performance to the requirements of that medium. The purpose of the thesis is to deepen the understanding of the acting process and the methods that enable actors to internalize a text as thoroughly as possible, while also analyzing the mechanisms that inhibit authentic acting expression.
