Patellar fracture is a serious injury of the knee joint, as it directly affects its function. The patella plays a central role in the biomechanics of the knee joint, as it helps with movement and stabilization. A disruption in its function also means a disruption in the functionality of the knee joint and, consequently, the functionality of the lower limb. The main consequences of a patellar fracture are the interruption of the ability to extend the knee, loss of mobility and persistent pain symptoms. The purpose of the master's thesis was to design and implement a 16-week late-rehabilitation exercise program after a patellar fracture. The test subject was a 60-year-old woman, who suffered a fracture due to a direct impact to the patella. She was treated surgically with internal fixation, and later underwent another operation to remove the fixation equipment. The goals of the exercise program were to reduce pain symptoms, increase muscle strength and range of motion, and restore everyday functionality to the level prior to injury. The methods used were measuring pain symptoms with the visual analogue scale, measuring the level of functionality with the LEFS questionnaire, measuring mobility using Kinovea , measuring muscle strength using the submaximal 10 repetitions test, measuring thigh circumference with a tailor's tape and measuring balance using the single-leg standing Stork test. The data was obtained during the exercise program at the initial, intermediate, and final testing and analyzed at the end. The results of the final analysis showed an improvement in all measured parameters, which indicates the success of the individually tailored exercise program in late rehabilitation of patella fractures.
