Abstract
Šole so prepoznane kot strateški vzvod za trajnostne prehranske sisteme, vendar je izvajanje še vedno neenakomerno. Ta študija, ki analizira Slovenijo – državo z dolgo tradicijo šolske prehrane, podprto s centralizirano politiko, a decentralizirano izvedbo – raziskuje institucionalne in teritorialne dejavnike trajnosti v šolski prehrani. Razvili smo indeks trajnosti šolske prehrane (SSCI) in analizirali podatke iz 148 osnovnih šol v 97 občinah, zbrane s spletnim vprašalnikom. V objavljenem sklopu podatkov so na voljo podatki zbrani s spletnim vprašalnikom med osnovnimi šolami in so bili uporabljeni za oblikovanje indeksa in analizo povezanosti institucionalnih dejavnikov z vpeljavo trajnostnih praks.

Title:
Institutional and territorial drivers of sustainability in a well-established decentralized school catering system : an exploratory quantitative study : research data underlying the article
Abstract:
Schools are recognized as strategic levers for sustainable food systems, yet implementation remains uneven. Analyzing Slovenia – a country with a long history of school meals, supported by centralized policy but decentralized provision – this study explores institutional and territorial drivers of sustainability in school catering. We developed the Sustainable School Catering Index (SSCI) and analyzed data from 148 primary schools across 97 municipalities, collected via online questionnaire. The published dataset includes data collected through an online questionnaire among primary schools, which were used to construct the index and to analyse the relationship between institutional factors and the implementation of sustainable practices.
