Abstract
Avtorjem življenjskostilnega novinarstva, ki se posvečajo temam, kot so potovanja, vrtnarjenje, kulinarika, glasba, slavne osebnosti in moda, se med normativnimi vlogami pripisuje predvsem razvedrilna. Bolj poglobljeno sta se vlog novinarjev življenjskostilnih rubrik lotila tudi Folker Hanusch in Thomas Hanitzsch. Po njunih raziskavah in ugotovitvah se zgleduje tudi ta magistrska naloga – na podlagi odgovorov, ki so jih intervjuvanke zagotovile med poglobljenimi intervjuji, je bil glavni cilj proučiti, kako slovenske novinarke, ki ustvarjajo vsebine o življenjskostilnih tematikah, vidijo svojo vlogo v družbi in novinarstvu. Iz tega je sledila ugotovitev, da je slovenskim novinarkam, ki ustvarjajo tovrstne vsebine, pomembno predvsem prenašanje zabave in razvedrila občinstvom. Prepoznajo se predvsem v vlogah upravljavca razpoloženja in navdihujočega zabavljača. Magistrska naloga se je lotila tudi morebitnih dejavnikov, ki bi vplivali na takšno dojemanje svojih vlog. V primeru slovenskih novinark pretirani vodstveni, politični ali tržni pritiski na njihovo vsebino dela ne vplivajo, opažajo pa vpliv tehnološkega napredka in posledično zmanjšanje razpoložljive človeške pozornosti, za katero se morajo mediji boriti. To ne pomeni, da obravnavane novinarke poročajo zavajajoče; držijo se normativnih pričakovanj novinarstva.

Title:Journalistic roles and self-understanding of female journalists in lifestyle columns of Slovenian media
Abstract:
Lifestyle journalists, who cover topics such as travel, gardening, cooking, music, celebrities and fashion, are primarily assigned the role of entertainment among their normative roles. Folker Hanusch and Thomas Hanitzsch have also explored the roles of lifestyle journalists in more depth. Their research and results are also the inspiration for this master's thesis – based on the answers provided by the interviewees during in-depth interviews, its main goal was to examine how Slovenian journalists who create content about lifestyle content see their role in society and journalism. This led to the conclusion that for Slovenian journalists who create such content, it is primarily important to bring entertainment and amusement to the audience. They identify themselves primarily in the roles of mood managers and inspiring entertainers. The master's thesis also addressed potential factors that would influence this perception of their roles. In the case of Slovenian journalists, the content of their work is not influenced by excessive managerial, political or market pressures, but they do notice the impact of technological progress and the consequent reduction in available human attention, which the media have to fight for. This does not however mean that the journalists in question report misleadingly; they nevertheless adhere to the normative expectations of journalism.
