Abstract
Drawing enables preschool children to express the characteristics of objects and phenomena according to their own perception. At the same time, drawing also makes children’s perceptions visible to teachers and parents. The aim of our study was to investigate the changes in preschool children’s drawings after a clay-sculpting experience compared to their original drawings. Children aged 6years were asked to draw the object before they modeled it and afterward. The results confirmed our presumption that the drawings would become more complex and expressive after the sculpting experience, including some 3D features that were not present in the initial drawing.
