In my diploma thesis, I research the experiences of former users of the Fužina Zone. In the initial part of the theoretical introduction, I present the concept of migrations, racism, prejudices, discrimination, stigma, the learning difficulties of students, how they are divided and how they are recognized. In the second part of the theoretical introduction, I wrote about how to help students with learning difficulties, about co-creation, about an original work project and about protective factors.
I wanted to investigate how former users of the Cona Fužine experience the Cona Fužine, whether the Cona provided them with educational and psychological support when they needed it, in what way it helped them the most and how it affects them today. In the empirical part of the research, I investigate with the help of seven interviews that were conducted with former users of the Cona Fužine. I researched that Cona Fužine is of great support to users both in learning support and psychological support and that it plays an important role for their future. The children completed primary and secondary education on time. With the help of the Fužine CSD, they acquired certain work habits and responsibilities . They were introduced to several sports activities made possible by the Zone. Cona Fužine plays an especially important role in the socialization of users and support in learning the Slovenian language. Most of the interviewed former users said that visiting Cona helped them a lot with their Slovenian language skills, as well as gaining friends and a social network. Users could always turn to Cona for help and support.
